Comments: We should not have to have such petitions to get cranes checked it should be mandatory. Once again it takes a collapsed crane and people getting seriously injured or dying to get a reaction.

Comments: Safer construction in public services and proving a competent construction team is the clear aims and objectives of the new E-Learning on-line website portal at www.CDM2007.org and will assist the HSE and industry to achieve the desired results... Competence is key ...... this new central resource starts with the new CDM Regs but will shortly deal with the cranes and lifting operations within a section dealing with LOLER etc. We support this campaign to improve the safety of cranes and wish to be kept informed of its progress. Full details are on the website www.CDM2007.org
