The intersection of 43rd & Fremont Avenue is a very busy crossing for pedestrians including families and children.
We need a safe crosswalk installed here.
Do you support this project?
More info:
- No safe area currently exists within a reasonable distance from this popular crossing spot next to Fremont Abbey Arts Center, Cafe Vita, Paseo, etc.
- Traffic here is generally moving way too fast as well and parked cars make visibility difficult.
- Numerous people seem to be very nearly hit by cars on a daily basis.
- We need a safe crosswalk installed that would include a painted crosshatch, signage, and plantings to make traffic slow down and notice there are many people walking in this neighborhood.
Join with us to make Fremont a safer neighborhood for everyone!
- More info can be found at www.fremontvillage.org or search "fremont village" on Facebook.
Petition results (Names & Comments) will be sent to SDOT to hopefully help them make a decision about the need here. Your email or contact information will not be given to any 3rd parties.
