Hi and thankyou all for veiwing this. In our school district transportation isn't provided unless your child is disabled. But what about the children of disabled parents? We are expected to send our children K-6 walking to school up to a mile anda half is considerd walking distence. Anything could happen on their journeys to school. I know that the city hasn"t always let people know if there are sex offenders in the area. I found out through my own research there are more than five I. Found in my area I wasn't worned about. Our children have a right to safety before anything else. What about when its cold and the district expects you to walk them, in the time it takes take could get very sick. Or parents that have a disorder that prevents far distance walking, I have severe eplilepsy and had a seizure, thankfully the parimetics new myself and my husband. I am also vissually impaired/ legally blind due to albinism. Our schools don't consider these things and they should. So please take the time to read this and voice your opinion. We are our childrens future, let's make it a bright one.
