Dear District Attorney Seth Williams and Mayor Michael Nutter,
Similar to the new law in Arizona, right here in Philadelphia, there is close collaboration between the Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Public safety comes from good community policing, which relies on trust.
But when local police collaborate with federal immigration agents, trust is
replaced with fear.
We, the undersigned, call on you to END all collaboration between the police and ICE in Philadelphia. We are not Arizona!
