To Whom it may concern;
This morning on my way to school I was listening to the radio and was stunned at what I heard. I knew that Paris Hilton had been sentenced to about 45 days in the California Prison, but what I heard shocked me. Apparently if enough people complain to the California governor Paris's charges will be dropped!
To me and most of the world this is an outrage. Paris Hilton had 1) been driving under the influence, and could have ended an innocent personâs life, and 2) she had her license taken away from her but continued to drive without it! She claims that this was not her fault, but she was told about her suspended license, and she even signed a form to affirm it.
Now, Paris Hilton has been convicted of the crime and sentenced to jail time, but she is refusing to take responsibility for her action. What else is new She claims that the court was "both cruel and unwarranted" but in reality she just does not want to face the facts.
I/We can not just stand by and watch another celebrity get away with breaking the law and endangering others lives. If this was to happen to any other person in the world they would be forced to do their jail time and face the cold hard facts. I/we can not stress enough how dangerous it was for Paris Hilton to be driving under the influence. She could have injured or even killed someone.
I/We believe that jail time is exactly what Paris Hilton needs. Not to punish her, but to maybe make her realize that what she did was wrong, and that she is not as invincible as she thinks and can not always get away with anything she wants.
Thank you for taking our opinion into consideration!
