Dear Parents/Guardian, I am a parent myself .I have seen first hand what all this education and rushing our children through is doing to them.They are under alot of pressure and stress and everything is on a very fast pace time line. I know many flusterd stressed out parents /children who feel helpless like us.They say no child left behind but there are lots of children behind, and who will be failed/held back another year. That is, being left behind.They need to slow down make sure that everyone is getting the lesson before moving on or have helpers to help the teachers and students who just need a little more time. I think they fail kids because there is know one who wants to take the time to deal with them .Can we even imagine how the children feel or what they think when this is done to them.I bet they fell like failures, not good at anything, feel dumb, and they let there parents down.That is not true at all. Our education decision makers let all of us down. But as parents, guardians, and tax payers I would say that we have a voice and rights .We can get something done by coming together and standing side by side for our children and what is best for them and there education by signing this petition. Slow down, let the children get the basics down good in elementary school.They should be focused on the basics, slower learning, and being children not adults in childrens bodies. We will have children quiting because there pushed to hard, to much, and way to fast. I want to see everyone get a good education, good selfasteam, and a good future. We must do something to help our children who are left behind. Please join me in the fight were all children will be educated, passed, successful and most of all happy because they made it!
