For almost 40 years Canadian heavy rock group RUSH have been entertaining fans and influencing many top rock musicians with their unique style, blending often complex musical arrangements with intelligent lyrics, their albums and dvds regularly achieving multi-platinum status (source: RIAA) Despite the fact that they don't make their music with the aim of receiving awards and plaudits -a sentiment voiced in 'The Spirit Of Radio'; "One likes to believe in the freedom of music/but glittering prizes/and endless compromises/shatter the illusion of integrity" - many fans of the band along with members of the rock and metal community believe that it is an injustice that RUSH have not yet been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Guitarist Slash, a 2012 inductee , said himself that he was surprised RUSH have yet to be included. Perhaps, if enough people make their voices heard by signing this petition, the powers that be in the Hall may finally come to their senses.There are of course many other artists who have not yet been inducted either, but it is up to their fans to rally behind them.
