Already established as the charismatic lead singer for Matchbox Twenty, Rob Thomas stepped out in 2005 on a solo venture. His solo album, Something To Be, debuted at #1 on the charts, the first time a band-member turned solo artist has ever achieved that. Since that brilliant debut, Something To Be has spawned two hit singles, Lonely No More and This Is How A Heart Breaks, and a third single, Ever the Same, has recently been released. Following a small club tour in the Spring of 2005, Rob\'s full-scale North American Tour kicked off in Albany, NY on October 5, 2005. The scheduled list of shows to follow was altered somewhat by Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma. The devastation Katrina caused along the Gulf Coast caused the show scheduled for Biloxi to be cancelled, and the havoc wreaked by Wilma caused the Hollywood, FL show to be rescheduled. But with a new date for Hollywood, and the addition of a show in Tampa, the tour was back on track.
