Comments: So Claremont has a new headmaster. We have no headmaster, no candidate for the job, significant uncertainty about the direction of the school, and little faith in an insular Board which appears to be out of touch with the values many of us share and feel were epitomized by Irwin. I'm sad that these well-meaning people got this so wrong and caused so much damage to the school we care about deeply.

Comments: The action of the School Board has created a deep and open wound in the Rodeph community. It will take a long time, if ever, to heal.

Comments: I am worried about the board's inability to articulate the goals and objectives that they were trying to meet by making this change at this time. They have also done a disservice to Paul Druzinsky who now has to take over in the face of all this rancor. He should have been given time to develop a strong allliance with the parents before thrusting him into the role of acting headmaster.

Comments: It is galling that we're losing a headmaster and HAVE NO IDEA WHY. What were the Board's reasons What did they think was wrong with the school that Irwin was responsible for Exactly what do they plan to do instead For the outrageous amount of money we pay to send children - not college students - to Rodeph, you'd think we'd be entitled to know where the school is going. Who knows - maybe I, for one, might just choose to send my boy elsewhere. Don't want to buy if I don't know what I'm getting.

Comments: I feel it is important that Irwin be recognized as the 'soul' of the school. His 25 years at RSS has brought together the community that now exists. Claremont School is truly fortunate.
