In South Africa, contrary to most civilized countries, artists, designers, photographers and other creatives living, working and producing amazing works of art been cut off from retaining copyright on their own creations. They have been exploited and left to live unfulfilled stolen artistic lives for far too long.

Help to put and end to this ludicrous law that prohibits artists or producers of original art from loosing their copyright due to an outdated law that violates a basic human need! Stop copyright theft!

By signing this petition you are in agreement that this is a gross violation of human rights and that it needs to be changed!

BASICS OF THE LAW:
When a work has been commissioned, the copyright will belong to the person who commissioned the work. IE the person who paid for it, gets to reap the rewards of usage and monetary satisfaction of it's use. This is a violation of the Berne Convention of which South Africa is a member.

Photographers and artists need to stand together on this one to make a change, so please spread the word!

This is a serious petition, we will divulge more info as soon as we get a strong support base from which we will then act.

Thank you very much!
