Common Ground Now (CGN) is a growing coalition of allies advocating tolerance in our rural communities. CGN was founded in April of 2008; our goal is to develop respectful, community-based solutions to local issues.
We are a diverse coalition, representing a variety of faiths and political ideologies. Our supporters include teachers, students, ministers, artists, journalists, photographers, restaurant workers, and full-time parents. We have joined together to denounce prejudice and promote tolerance.
We want to raise awareness of antisemitic propaganda on Route 51 in Central Illinois. By gathering the signatures of people who condemn displays of prejudice, we intend to show that our community is working toward tolerance.
The volume of support has now reached a point where we can secure a formal meeting with the district council. I am currently drafting our outline for that discussion to ensure our goal of removing the propaganda remains the primary focus.

Living here my whole life and this stuff on 51 is just embarrassing. We are better than that.
