Dear Parents/Guardians
I am writing to inform you that I have recently written to the Director of Children, Schools and Families (CSF) at Hertfordshire County Council on behalf of the school's governing body as part of our efforts to secure a sports hall for Roundwood
Park School.
Ever since the failure of the County Council to progress planning permission for the proposed lottery funded all-weather pitch on the school site, the governors have been continuing to seek the improvements to the school's PE and games facilities that the school deserves. We believe that a sports hall would be the best way to achieve this both for the students and the community and we continue to press County to provide the necessary funding at the earliest opportunity.
As part of this process, we ask that you consider adding your name to this petition to indicate your support for this project. We know that the County Council are currently finalising their funding priorities for the next year and we feel therefore that early action is necessary. Whilst we obviously cannot guarantee that this action will produce immediate results, there is no doubt that a
number of signatures from 'consumers' will provide significant backing to our more formal requests.
