   Comments: Rory was an unsung hero of the blues in the 70's through the 90's. His guitar playing influenced many of today;s current guitar heros. To deny this great man a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is like letting some one hit wonder to stand among the greats. Rory Gallagher was a bad mofo on the guitar and he deserves to be remembered as such.

    Comments: No one embodies the fiercely independent spirit of rock and roll more than Rory Gallagher. He was more about his fans and his music than about kowtowing to record companies, and as Youtube bears witness, his roadwork was prodigious and his performances the stuff of well deserved legend. How many other rockers sold 30 million records without ever having a single on the radio? Though he's been gone for 15 years, his legacy grows by leaps and bounds and he wins new fans at an amazing rate because of his dedication to the real thing. Clapton, Hendrix, The Edge, Jerry Lee Lewis and Slash all paid homage to him--it's only fitting that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame do the same.
