This petition is to show there is a demand in the UK for good quality American Root Beer to be sold in our supermarkets. Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Co-Op. To my knowledge the only available Root Beer in supermarkets is Carters from Asda and Hartridge's from Morrisons, which both lack the American quality of A+W, IBC, Mug and Stewarts etc. The only way to drink these fine brands is to buy imported cans and bottles from specialist "candy" stores at a premium cost £1.50+ per can. As much as i personally like cola as a drink i'm irritated at seeing six different brands of cola on sale and not one brand of Root Beer. I feel there is not only a demand in the country for good quality Root Beer, widely available and at a reasonable price. But also, a gap in the market for a supermarket to take advantage of and i hope in signing this petition that will be made clear.
