We fully support Roosevelt’s at 7 in their efforts to not only be an outstanding restaurant but also to be a supporter of local and community ventures including, but not limited to, non-profit organizations, music, and the arts.

The City of McAllen is proposing to create an overlay district on Main Street from Pecan to Business 83.  This proposed district will be called The Arts District.  Within this district, the city is proposing that new rules be imposed.  These rules will include a lower decibel levels for music, no alcohol sales after 11pm, and several other restrictions.  Although Roosevelt's is grandfathered in, because it is already an existing business, if this proposal is passed as is, Roosevelt's will have extreme difficulties in the future when applying for new licensing and permits.  We are asking that you sign this petition if you support Roosevelt's and wish that it not be affected now or ever in the future by the new regulations being proposed.
