Comments: This is obviously not an issue for the north or south part of the district. This is a district wide issue, let's work to gather support across the entire district.

Comments: Its time that Zimemrman got a new High School. Many of our kids take most of their classes in trailer houses out back. I remember the year Zimmerman got (small) bleachers and Rogers got a H.S. Its our turn.

Comments: Zimm needs the High School, but, we better be "wanting" this new school for the right reasons. I need to see more concentration on academics, less focus on sports and a lot more concentration on instructing our students on living together with fellow humans, how to make good life choices, and respect along-side decentcy. There needs to be a better balance to ward this. An come on! We must try prayer in the schools again and stop being so scared about bringing God into major decisions like this. Nothing happens, nothing works, nothing gets passed unless we ask our creator first.

Comments: Not all children have the option of going to private schools, or being home schooled. This is why public school is so important. We need to make sure that children are armed with the tools needed to be successful- regardless of where they live.

Comments: If this referendum is not passed the Otsego schools will likely face an over-crowding situation much too quickly once the new neighborhoods are completed. I also think Otsego needs to look long term ... Rogers HS will not be large enough to accommodate all of the children from the current Otsego Elem AND a new K-8. Lastly, I agree with voting for everything EXCEPT more classes for Elk River, as another poster stated - Twin Lakes just opened! We don't need fancy and frills - we need room for proper education. Thumbs down to "portables".

Comments: A new K-8 school in Otsego will be a tremendous benefit for all of the children in our neighborhood. A 45-minute bus ride to Otsego Elem. is too long.
