Name: Mark Cross on Jan 30, 2010Comments: Growing up in Akron, my father would take me to see Rocky. That's how we referred to it, not going to see a game, or the Indians, we went to see Rocky. When he was traded to Detroit I was devastated, and my Dad said "Don't worry son, Detroit is not that far." We went to Detroit at least once every summer for the years he was there, and Cleveland only when Rocky came to town. I still watch the game but have not had the same excitement since Rocky left for good. I would be at Cooperstown,if I had to walk there, just to revisit my childhood hero and the joy he brought one last time. The Hall of Fame needs Rocky as a reminder that there was a time when heroes mattered.US State: ConnecticutZip Code:: 06040Flag

Name: Richard Cirlincione on Feb 5, 2010Comments: Rocky Colavito had more home runs, runs scored and runs batted in that any other American Leaguer from 1957 through 1967! He hit 4 consecutive home runs in one game. He had the strongest arm in baseball and held many runners in check. He hit 374 home runs in just 12 full seasons. He hit 20 or more home runs in 11 consecutive seasons, which for that era was one of the best. And in 6 years, he had over 100 RBIs. Led league in HRs, slugging, HR percentage, assists. He was the Cleveland franchise in his years there.US State: New JerseyZip Code:: 07039Flag
