We the undersigned hereby petition to change the name of Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville, Florida to honor someone more reflective of our values.
I have spent the last few days mapping out the contact information for every member of the school board. Their office is ignoring our emails so it is time to start calling their individual desks every morning until they provide a public response. Find their phone numbers in the project folder and start making those calls today.

The momentum behind this name change is moving faster than the school board expected. Post this link on your Facebook page and text three friends to keep the pressure on our local representatives.

I am a graduate of this school. I have thought about this for the past several years. Rename it as Riverside High School. Or Stetson Kennedy (famous alum) High School.

Because school names should communicate the best of our values not our racist past.

I suggest that the name of an abolitionist, such as Susan B. Anthony, be chosen as the new name for the school. Our kids deserve true role models!

2019, still no name change. What an embarrassment for DCPS.

I think if you did not grow up here and did not attend my high school than you need to keep your damm opinions to yourself. The Lee high school I attended was a great place where everyone was treated the same regardless of their skin color.
