    Comments: yes i agree i owe 2200 in parking tickets but do not have the lump sum to pay it all at once the city should do like the sr22 insurance u maintain your payments and your dls would be reinstated when you miss the payment suspend the dls again accept with sr22 when you miss a payment you have to start all over with the license you jus owe what ever balanc is due this way the city gets its revenue and the citizens get there dls back.

    Comments: I concur with 98% of the statements made. If the city truly cared for its citizens, it would work out a feasible payment plan for those who sincerely are getting there lives in order. Just think how much money the city would make if the mayor would reduce all outstanding tickets by 50% of the original cost. You would have people around the corner. This city sucks and I want to move back to California or North Carolina!!!

    Comments: Many people such as myself cant afford to pay these (doubled) tickets. Its crazy to me. If I cant afford to pay the regular amount of the tickets, the city punishes us by making us obligated to then pay doubled the ticket. Thats crazy beyond belief. You want to love the City and the Mayor of your own Chicago, but youu all make it very difficult. Its like we're getting punished for being POOR. It's not fair. It's not right.

    Comments: I'm unemployed with a 6 month old child on food stamps and they are making me pay over $800 to get my vehicle back. I defaulted on paying on the payment plan because OF COURSE I'm in hardship right now....I'm on food stamps but they don't care, they just want their money. I had to lose my truck that i still owe money on because there's no way I could get that kind of money.

    Comments: I have two cars under my name and the first one i am a cosigner. the person who owns the car has parking tickets totaling 3 grand. I have my own tickets. My license is cannot be renewed until i pay the full balance. i am not able to do that. I am struggling as is. Now I have to go court due to my license unrenewable and i have not been able to make any progress becuase the attorney says there is nothing to be done. I don't know what to do.

    Comments: My car has been BOOTED since 7/31/10. Im told I have tickets from a car that was stolen in 2005. Yet I'm still responsible. I am one of the many Chicagoan's struggling to keep food on the table, paying bills, and of course NOW dealing with the city. Something needs to be done. We need HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really think there should be some type of lenience, atleast let us pay the original fee in payments, why double or triple it?!
