The Colorado State Legislature has officially approved the Rocky Mountain National Park license plate. It is profound to see how many people committed to this project to ensure our park receives lasting support. Keep an eye out for the new plates appearing on the road as we approach the centennial …
(Colorado residents ONLY) Deadline: Ongoing in 2014
Petition: By signing this petition, I show my support for the
Rocky Mountain National Park license plate. I also pledge my intention
to acquire one when they are available. Please bring this initiative to a
vote in the Colorado State Legislature in 2015.
About this petition: If you live in Colorado, please lend your support for Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) by pledging to purchase a new Colorado Group Special License Plate.
The unique plate design features a magnificent bull elk under a starry sky with alpine tundra flowers and reads, “Rocky Mountain National Park”. We need your help to bring a bill for this plate to the Colorado legislature for a vote in 2015.
The Rocky Mountain Nature Association (a non-profit philanthropic organization), in partnership with Rocky Mountain National Park, will introduce this special license plate that will be available to Colorado registered vehicle owners. The plate will be available by 2015 to coincide with Rocky Mountain National Park’s Centennial celebration. It will remain available as long as we continue to distribute a minimum of 3,000 annually.
Proceeds generated by this project will directly support Rocky Mountain National Park.
First, we need 3,000 Colorado resident signatures in support of this initiative in order to bring a bill to a vote in the Colorado state legislature in 2014. Signatures will also be considered a pledge to purchase a plate (if the bill is approved by the Colorado state legislature). Once approved, a minimum of 3,000 plate sets will need to be requested annually or the plate will be retired.
Fees for the Rocky Mountain National Park license plate: Pre-Certification: $25 required donation to the Rocky Mountain Nature Association in addition to existing registration fees. Renewal Fee: $20 donation in addition to existing registration fees Proceeds generated from the sale of the plates will directly support Rocky Mountain National Park.
Please proudly show your support for Rocky Mountain National Park by signing the license plate petition. Help celebrate the park’s Centennial and show the world your love for this spectacular and beloved place. Thank you!
FOR YOUR PETITION SIGNATURE TO BE VALID YOU MUST LIVE IN COLORADO AND INCLUDE THE INFORMATION REQUESTED BELOW.
*NOTE: After you click the "Sign!" button, you will be presented with a donation page from iPetitions, the service that is hosting our petition. Please be aware this is optional and completely unrelated to the Rocky Mountain National Park license plate initiative and the Rocky Mountain Nature Association. Should you elect to make the donation, 100% of your money goes to iPetitions.
WE WILL NOT SHARE THIS INFORMATION EXCEPT TO THE COLORADO STATE LEGISLATURE FOR APPROVAL.
Reaching twenty-five hundred signatures indicates a clear interest in celebrating the park through this license plate project. This momentum suggests that our goal of taking this initiative to the state legislature is truly within reach.

Seeing this level of enthusiasm for the license plate shows how deeply our community values the preservation of the park. This momentum is exactly what the legislature needs to see as we prepare to bring our proposal forward.

I love this plate. It has everything I love about my home. From the moon sets over the mountains to Elk wandering through fields of sunflowers. Good luck!

I will purchase one if they allow Amateur Radio Callsigns on these plates. Currently, Amateur Radio Callsigns are only allowed on the green/white license plates.

I love the RMNP plate but I think the flower needs to be a Columbine, the state flower, which are quite abundant in RMNP.
