Comments: Mr Miles, I am firmly opposed to the deal to sell NB Power. I am ashamed of this government and that it does not listen to the very people who have elected them into office. Linda Richardson 169 St John Street Fredericton

Comments: Please vote against the proposed sale of NB Power to Hydro Quebec. I beleive your family may benefit from lower rates for a while but it will be a heavy burden for the small rate payers of the province of New Brunswick. If Hydro Quebec wants to deliver power to New England, I'm sure we can do it for them just like they do for Newfoundland and Labrador.

Comments: Rick, as a Professional Engineer and a tax payer who supported you in the last election and is a member of a group of professionals who have analyzed the MOU, I urge you to vote against the sale of NB Power. This is a very poor deal for New Brunswick and represents the sale of our electrical utility for approx 50% of its value, to say nothing of the loss of our control of the utility to an outside N.B. crown corporation. Our R & C rates are presently the lowest in the Maritimes and about 1/2 those in New England. My electric power savings from the deal each year from an all electric home represents about 12 weeks denial of a daily small Tim Horton' coffee !!! The only winners are the large industrial and most being in the Forest Industry. Quebec, with it's low rates are also losing these industries not caused by power rates but the high value of the Canadian dollar.

Comments: If NB Power is to be sold, I think that fair value for its assets is far in excess of the amount in the MOU. The MOU is also replete with weasel words that require clarification/resolution. I estimate the present worth of the revenue stream from NB Power to be at least $15 billion in today's dollars. The value of the hydro and nuclear generation can only increase in this carbon-conscious world. This deal must be killed.

Comments: I strongly disagree with the sale of one of our strongest assets in New Brunswick (NB Power). Our children would never forgive our generation for such a huge mistake that could never be recouped . There has to be another solution. One that uses logic and common sense. We the tax payer owns NB Power and we pay for it dearly every day of our lives, therefore our voice should be heard.

Comments: What part of "NB Power Is Not For Sale" don't you understand? Not all of it, not half of it, non even a small part of it! I think that the public protests made it quite clear that you and your party did not have the mandate to make a deal with Hydro Quebec or anyone else, to sell NB Power. Who stands to get rich off this deal, that is my question. It's the same old story...the rich get richer.

Comments: I was pleased to see Burke, Lamrock and several other MLAs indicate that they would listen to their constituents - I was disappointed to see that you haven't decided to listen to your constituents. I understand that Shawn Graham is your friend and you are loyal to him. Your loyalty is misplaced. If you hope to remain a successful politician you will redirect your loyalty to the people who vote in your riding.
