River Woods Subdivison has always been a quite, safe neighborhood. None of us thought twice about letting our kids ride bikes or walk in the streets throughout the neighborhood. Many of the kids that we used to see riding bikes and their friends are now driving. Everyone always seems to be in a hurry. Enter cell phones and texting. Many of these kids, and adults alike are driving while talking or texting and not looking ahead or at their surroundings.  

We have stop signs at all entrances to the neighborhood to slow vehicles down prior to entering the neighborhood. Speed humps can be used to force drivers to stay alert and slow down as they travel through the neighborhood.
