| 26252 | Autumn Clack | One of Houston's downfalls is its lack of commitment to its roots, especially architecturally. It would be a travesty to see either of these historically AND sentimentally significant buildings come down. |

| 26268 | Claire Poff | I think itd be terrible for Houston to lose this theatre. Its part of houston's history, culture, and uniqueness. If I ever bring friends to houston now, we always see a film at this theatre. Its a gem |
| 26269 | Annie Collins Zeleskey | This place is magical. It can not go. |

| 26279 | Elizabeth Bailey | DO NOT TEAR DOWN THE RIVER OAKS THEATER AND ALABAMA THEATER!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not do it.
This is why people think Houston is a dump. We tear down our buildings of style to build retail centers. Surely there is plenty of land somewhere to build ANOTHER chain bookstore.
This is insane. I have lived in Houston for over 30 years. These two buildings MUST STAY!

| 26282 | Matt Lucas | Once it's gone, it's gone. Our culture is to tear down an old, historic building and replace it with something sparkly and new, then we realize years later---too late---that we actually treasured the historic structure. I realize that it's hard to think beyond the concept of making as much money off the property as is possible today, but it is important to consider the long-term consequences, too. |

| 26284 | Bruce Stone | I lived and shopped in that area for over 15 years. Although I've recently moved, I still visit the theater and shops on the weekends. |

| 26296 | Ethan McKenzie | i plan on moving back to houston very soon and i have already seen houston lose many of its significant landmarks. it would be a shame to lose another. |
| 26297 | Julia Armstrong | It's ridiculous that they are even thinking of taking down a classic peice of Houston. Please, reconsider building over it. |
| 26298 | Anonymous | For the love of God, don't tear down River Oaks! It's a cultural landmark, not mention I REFUSE to drive all the way to flipping WEBSTER to go to Rocky Horror. |
