| 214 | Kyle Staley, AIA | Who knew Weingarten could out do their own cleverness of leasing a Starbucks across the street from another Starbucks? Please, exhaust yourselves trying to find another way to make the numbers work... |

| 217 | Scott Cutlip | If Weingarten Realy moves forward with its demolition plans, this would be a tragic loss for the Houston community. Houston already has a lack of quality "public" pedestrian environments, espicially ones that offer so many unique buisnesses such as the River Oaks Shopping Center. |

| 221 | Susan Farb Morris | Destroying this theater would be a travesty! DON'T DO IT! As a native Houstonian, I love the River Oaks Theater. Houston needs to preserve it for future generations. |
| 222 | muffie moroney | Shame on Weingarten Realty Investors for even considering such a plan. They should know better! |
| 223 | Katherine Haveman | Please save this bit of history!!! I've watched many movies there and would hate to see it go. |
| 224 | Amy | It is a tragedy that TX doesn't have better laws to help preserve places of historical value. In the midwest, it is of utmost importance to do so. I hope those in charge reconsider. |
| 225 | Mike Mandola | |
| 226 | Jerry Lynch | Houston has grown so much so fast that if you go to an area that you do not frequent very often, chances are that it has changed since the last time that you were there; often times unrecognizeable.
Sadly, many of the shopping centers and high rise housing buildings are made with "cookie cutter" designs and have no character whatsoever.
At least at the corner of West Gray and Shepherd, you can recognize where you are even if you have been away from the city for a while. Let's keep it that way!
Thanks. |

| 232 | Jeff Waller | The thought of losing these historically significant structures to the wrecking ball is truly saddening. I think Weingarten Realty Investors could enhance their reputation if they were to decide instead to preserve them. Weingarten had better be prepared for significant opposition and/or backlash from the public should these plans go forward. |
| 233 | Craig Karp | Don't forget who made you, Weingartens! |
| 234 | Iain Simpson | THis would be a disaster. Houston has so ridiculously little regard for its past. Come on, Weingarten. It's NOT all about the money. |
| 235 | Gary Belin | I'm deeply dissapointed that greed seems to have taken control of MR Weingarten. Houston helped make him successfull and yet he's going to destroy one of our remaing lanmarks? Shame on you Mr Weingarten. |

| 243 | Anonymous | would be nice to save these landmarks. As a kid I could walk to either the Tower, River Oaks or the Alabama from my house on Maryland st. But money TALKS and B.S. walks. Plus our unethical/corrupt governments and corporations. Someone said you can't fight city hall. But I'll come monkey wrinch the bull dozers. |

| 250 | Brandi | Please do not take what little standing history Houston has to offer. This is my hometown, and I have seen it slowly go more and more commercial and less and less architectural. There is a way to preserve the historical ambiance and incorporate new revenues. Just find the way rather than just going the "easy" route of destruction. |
