Name: Cynthia Fuhrer on Mar 29, 2012Comments: with proper care and restrictions on numbers, habitat enclosures, etc, residents should be allowed to harvest their own eggs. Maybe paying a $25-$30 licensing or registration fee with evidence of proper enclosure and knowledge of care??Flag

Name: Mike Joohnson on Mar 29, 2012Comments: Animals are essential in creating a delicate and balanced ecosystem. not allowing people to raise thier own food and learn where food comes from is denying them thier rights of access to food, and a better quality of live and increase thier own health. By mandating that all food needs to be put through mega farms only divorces the individual from thier food, and puts there health at risk. I strongly encourage you to consider allowing this exemption, and make edmonton a better place to live.Flag

Name: Michael Moore on Mar 30, 2012Comments: We shouldn't even have to battle this issue. Back yard chickens are part of our heritage and are not a health risk. In Calgary where I used to live in Sunnyside there are hundreds of pigeons living all throughout the neighbourhood but there is no bylaw officer going around capturing them and ridding the neighbourhood of unhealthy birds. Food security is a right for all Canadians.Flag
