You have probably seen the “shame on...” banners in front of certain businesses around Albuquerque. The anti-business campaign is being carried by an out-of-town union, the Los Angeles-based Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters.
Please sign this petition in support of local businesses and their efforts to do business without union harassment. Copies of this petition, minus email addresses and any other contact information, will be sent to local media and the union in early April to show that the citizens of Albuquerque support local businesses, not anti-business union publicity efforts.
The people of Albuquerque have finally had enough of the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters and their pathetic intimidation tactics against our local hardworking businesses. This momentum proves that nobody wants these Los Angeles outsiders blocking our sidewalks and hurting our neighborhood shops. We are sending a clear message that this harassment ends now.

Keep Albuquerque local. Tired of seeing these banners everywhere I go. It looks trashy and hurts our small business owners.

Let them go back to California. We handle our own business here.
