As we all are busy with lots of responsible work, an extremely urgent and important issue has been surfacing.

That issue is the upcoming US Presidential Election, set to take place in the first week of November, 2016.

As we all know that the Presidential Candidates are selected by voting in the party respective primary elections held throughout the country. In these Primaries, representatives of the party vote to select the candidate. Almost always the candidates of the two parties namely the Democratic and the Republican Party are important.

Looking at the fact that only a few representatives of each of the two parties elect their candidates, they are elected by a small segment of that party. So, in the big picture of the national electorate, the selection of the two main party candidates is done by a very small number of voters. Hence, there is a very good chance that selected candidates may or may not be the electorate’s choice ….the electorate may vote for one or the other due to lack of a better candidate on the ballot…or may decide not to cast the vote..!

For the upcoming election, it is rather clear that both the Republican and the Democratic Presidential candidates may not be the choice of the majority of the electorate. Not only that, either candidate can drag this country into unbearable situations in the next four years to come, based on the allegations made by the media and candidates themselves about each other.

Hence, I request the US Congress and the Executive Branch to pay attention to the present situation and make avail a further choice to the voters as described below:

On the ballot there should be a box with a choice ,,,,,”None of the Above”
Pass necessary resolutions / executive orders that if the “None of the above” votes exceed 50% of the casted votes, the Parties shall be required to hold Conventions to determine replacement candidates. The previous candidates shall be disqualified by default.
A new national Presidential election shall be held within a few months time.
There shall be no iteration of this process further, the second vote shall be FINAL.

I hope you all would look at this letter favorably and do the needful to promote the basic idea..

Sincerely,
Hemant H. Shah
