Its pitiful that this third world country were I happen to reside for more than two years can do with our citizens as they please, torturing and judging without proper lawyers or even interpreters for that matter.
Not only we should protest against this incident alone, we should go a step further so that this crazy ex-soviet justice strike doesn't happen again.
Would the latvians do the same to american citizens? Noooo... of course not, they even allowed them to fly combat planes in the middle of Riga to celebrate the 4th of July.
If Latvia wants to behave like the third rate country they are they better have stayed with the soviet union, because in the E.U, at least in Spain and Portugal this won't be forgotten in a long time.
From now on Latvia will be for most of us the country that cheats at Eurovision, that has cheap hookers and that tortures university students.

If a flag is nothing than a piece of cloth, it is not necessary to reflect on some historical aspects when it concerns symbolical features of a colored piece of cloth!
Was not a piece of cloth that was shown trough ages when nations' armies invaded other nations?
It is not a piece of cloth that can be seen in American movies in front of any home, library, court and senate?
It is not a piece of cloth that is in front of the European parliament and in front of every European nation's parliament?
It is not a piece of cloth that is shown proudly in every football match by the winners after their victory?
It is not a piece of cloth which is so angerly burnt in so many countries in the Middle East?
It was not a piece of clothes which were so proudly hoisted during Nazi times in conferences and meetings?
It might be just a piece of cloth, but it seems trough time that it is not "just a piece of cloth"? It is a piece of colored cloth with many symbolic values and meanings which was used during times so intensively!
About Latvia belonging to NATO, let me tell you that for sure it was not Latvian authorities who intended to join NATO, instead were Occidental governments who seduced Baltic countries to join NATO, so they could enlarge their influences to East.
The True lies in History, and when Soviet Union authorities tried to send some missiles to Cuba, a crisis was created with NATO, despite NATO's missile basis possessings in Turkey.

The reaction of the Latvian authorities is disproportionate, hypernationalistic and amounts to police, judicial and political torture. It makes me think at the case of the Bulgarian nurses in Lybia !!! I was not aware that the situation is still blocked.
