RE: Proposed Use Variance/Zoning Change on Ridge Rd for Ridge Road Properties LLC

Dear Mr. Mayor, 
We are writing this letter in response to the Public Notice we received around February 18, 2012, from Ridge Road Properties LLC., requesting a Zoning change for 849 Ridge Rd and 76-84 Perrine Road, also known as Block 79, Lots 4.02, 4.03, 4.04, 6.01 & 6.03 on the current tax map.

The applicant is requesting a use variance from current OR Zone to Residential to build 238 Townhomes and 270 single family homes totaling 508 units. 

We as residents of South Brunswick Township in general and residing in the close proximity to Ridge Road in particular arevery concerned about the proposed project and its impact on our communities and neighborhood as it adversely impact:

Project of this size & scale will sure change the very fabricof South Brunswick as we know it. It changes our town from aSuburban setting to an urban setting. We all have either moved here or have been living here, away from busy and crowded towns, as South Brunswick offers a tranquil environment to raise families.  Project of this magnitude will rob the residents of this very comfort.
Also, as prominently displayed on our website’s home page, weare ranked #22 out of 100 best palces to live in the USA, which we all strongly believe didn’t happen by chance, but ONLY with meticulous planning of our city officials and staff.

We hope the members of various committees (Zoning, Planning & City Council) will consider the adverse effects of this mega project on our township and will once again safeguard the interest of city residents in maintaining the serenity of South
Brunswick Township in general and Ridge Road corridor in particular.

By attesting this letter, we express on our concern once again & strongly object the project as proposed.
