Name: Anonymous on Apr 18, 2008Comments: We read articles about the GP Fairgrounds posslibly not being able to stay open due to lack of funding. We have someone wanting to help keep the fairgrounds open along with giving kids of ALL ages a great opportunity of doing something besides play video games, watch TV or hang out on street corners. This also, keeps them out of the woods where it seems everything is being posted "NO TRESSPASSING" due to the breakdown of the environment or varios other reasons..... Would it be better for them to ride on a supervised track or possilbly on private property....which could be yours! ~ For once, think about the kids (not yourself) .......if yours are grown........ think back as to what you would have wanted for them.!!! A place to be supervised or out where there is no supervision! This is a great opportunity for familes to bond. We have Grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, aunts & uncles all coming to watch the riders..... Let me invite you to step out your door and come over and see that it is a great environment for EVERYONE!! Even YOU!!Flag

Name: Greg Anderson on Apr 18, 2008Comments: Both my family and I enjoy having a track located in Grants Pass that we can ride at easily. The more riding area's are shut down the more tracks like this become valuable additions to our community. Not only does the track benefit the riders it also brings tourism and $$ to Grants Passs economy from the outlying areas. Discriminating against motorcycle riders is unfair and should not be tolerated. I will support keeping this riding area open and would like to know what negative impact having a track like this poses to the community.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Apr 18, 2008Comments: Did the folks who are complaining happen to forget that they purchased a home adjacent to the fairgrounds where public events such as horse races, BMX riding, truck racing, and -- oh, heavens -- motocross takes place Or for the people on the river side of the fairgrounds, where jet boats fly by daily in the summer The complainants in this seem to be suffering from a severe deficiency of "clue".Flag

Name: Stacey Kellenbeck on Apr 18, 2008Comments: I think GPMX is the best idea in a long time. The Fairgrounds property has been severely underutilized for far too many years. Motocross participants and fans bring money to our community and the events are a safe, fun family activity.Flag
