Brian Butler | Please keep the track open. It provides a place for kids to participate in a fun, legal activity that is a benefit to their lives.
Jason Dlouhy |
Steve Macartney | Not only is this a legal and wholesome activity for local youth and families, it is helping to sustain a viable revenue source for Josephine County Fairgrounds, without additional taxation, especially with the recent severe federal resource/support cuts.
| 857 | Dan Bolin | This would be a shame, to put kids and familys to do other things. We do it with familys
and kids off the streets, |

Ryen Reid | Keep the fair grounds MX park open. Motorcycles represents and excellent family sport, and closing would have a very adverse affect on the local population!

bruce brooks | please keep this track open, this is a real good family sport that keeps teenagers excited about life and far less likely to get into trouble if they can go riding thank you. bruce brooks
Anonymous | this track is a crucial step in recreation that can help keep our kids off the streets and gives them incentive to keep grades up & stay positive, for the priviledge of riding/racing. Please keep this track open!
Mike Akin | As manager of Eugene MX I am very happy to see another venue avaliable for our youth to ride at.

Anonymous | When a track is already adhering to noise curfews and the city is actually taking seriously the complaints of the few, you have to wonder what the real agenda is. Most off road racing events have self imposed noise limits and riders take care of the terrain because they want to continue to ride. Why are the riders and their families the only ones who have to make adjustments? The track brings revenue to the city and GP businesses which I'm very sure they need. If you city officials aren't taking notice of how much income this track generates both directly and indirectly in your economically depressed area, you should not be in office because you are not addressing the best interests of the very city you are supposed to be serving. Why aren't some of you trying to broker a workable compromise instead of only entertaining the "shut it down" mentality?
Jason Rankin | Good Luck!

Steve DeGeyter | Why shut down a family venue that brings in $$ to help keep the fairgrounds in the black? No matter what you do, someone will be unhappy, but this has gone too far..

Greg Martin | We need riding areas open for all families and enthusiasts. The more areas that are open the less impact on one area. Spread the wealth and distribute the fun to several different areas. Plus, if there are legal places to ride, there won't be people trespassing or tearing up private property. Keep the areas OPEN!!!!
Todd Mobley | Keep the track open! Support the sport and the ability for everyone to stay active and athletic!

Jack W Burnett | If you build your home near a train track you will hear the train should the train track be moved because of your mistake? I think people need to take responciblity for there own lives and not attack there nieghbors.
joe mccormick |
Cheryl Coburn | Please keep the track open. People need somewhere to ride! This is also generating revenue - something in short supply right now! Be wise about your decision.
Troy Coburn | KEEP THE TRACK OPEN PLEASE!!!!

Mason Harrison | If the measured noise levels are no different during races, then there is no reason to close the track. It seems the highway creates more noise than the MX track...maybe it should be shut down! This is a great opportunity for family recreation and giving kids something to do to occupy their time.
Tracy Rush | Someone should contact Yamhill County Fairgrounds and ask about the overwhelming success that they are enjoying by allowing the Portland Karting Association to build a track and host races. This venue has now expanded into motorcyle racing also.
