    Comments: i 100% agree i have had ot waers unidforms the entire time during the skool year tis so annoying now htey are suspending kids if the uniforms arent to the school dresscode why the hell are they worried about wat we wear so much should they care more about our academics and if we are there are not we cant be there an learn if we are suspended for having shirts untucked or pants below waste line....

I know that they do help a little but harrassment still happens because a kids pants are too high or there shoes aren't "tims" Id rather deal with getting called second hand but you cant help it when all the "cool" kids set a standard and make fun of the others. I myself dont follow their standard cuz i could give a crap less what im wearing im just trying to get my education, But for some other kids its not easyto ignore the other kids, and those kids are the ones who snap and bring weapons to school to solve there problems. This is just my opinion and i hpe you change this policy because its horrible

    Comments: I agree. I am a graduate of Spratley and also had to endure the rules of uniform. Naturaly my classmates and I rebelled, but that was incorrect. I have two perspectiives on uniform wear. Point 1:Freedom of choice. I think the student should be able to choose what they wear. It adds to their individuality and creativity. Teachers are always going on about "be yourself" but it is akward "being yourself" when you look like everyone else. Point 2:Cruelty of teenagers. With uniforms children are ridiculed about hoe they look. Now the reason of uniforms is to prevent this. Hmmm....has it No! that has nothing to do with our fine educators and parents that make up your PTA, or the schoolboard. That is simply because we are dealing with a school full of cruel adolecents.I am not in anyway bad mouthing Spratley. It's just that teens are like this everywhere. I was, and probably still am. Anyway if students nwere to wear casual clothes to school they might focus more on clothes than school, but that happens anywat. It is a lost cause. I think that if the school wants to put so many rules in place that they should provide the items necessary to follow them. Not the busted one that are in the video room. Fresh ones every year. I doubt the schoolboard can afford that so you guy got some thinking to do. Besides I am only 14 what does my opinion matter If you are agreeing with that statment you need to do some serious evaluation, considering that my peers and I will be running the country. Anyway I have done enough monologing so I bid thee fairwell...Bye Phoebus...You Know!(hee hee). Vote Starr For Pres.

    Comments: Put freedom back in public schools and allow parents the choice. This is not Nazi Germany or communist China. If you have a uniform policy as part of a dress code it must allow parents the choice to follow the uniform policies or opt out.
