Jharkhand is suitable and sustainable when it is Green. People were misled into unsustainable agriculture by removing tree cover. Cosequently 30% of upland is barren and uneconomical for agriculture. Irrigation is available for 8% area whereas 30% area is under forest cover managed under conservation doctrine. With such meagre resources at the disposal of peolpe of Jharkhand, they are poor and forced to migrate for livelihood. Option is to cultivate tree species, green jharkhand and revitalize rural economy...Petition the government to encourage license free environment for cultivation of tree species.
