Nigerian authorities have announced plans to remove the country\'s top investigator just weeks after he began prosecuting the biggest corruption trial since independence.
Nuhu Ribadu, chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, is regarded as a hero by many Nigerians for putting once untouchable politicians behind bars.
The chief of police said on Thursday that Mr Ribadu, a police officer, was to be sent on a year-long training course at a policy institute, in effect removing him from control of the EFCC.
