Comments: The entire process of review has been hurriedly pushed through and, it seems, geared to times when people might be on vacation -- August - for instance or to other significant events, such as the hearing that took place the same evening as the evening of the last presidential candidate debate. I was present at the meeting at which the schedule was set and the planning lawyer especially hired to guide the town through the review process was strongly against such a tight schedule but was overruled. This was the meeting that was held in the basement of the town hall at which the plan was presented to the Town Board. There is very little seating in that room, only four people attended the preponderance of the meeting. No formal provision was made for them to voice their opinion. This hardly seems to be transparent government.

Comments: I agree with the idea that more should be discussed with tax paying residents of Rhinecliff and Rhinebeck before this zoning measure.

Comments: I feel it is inappropriate for the Town Board to make major changes in the use of area lands without public input. The Town Board represent the members of the community, not themselves. It is their responsibility to do the wishes of the community. In order to do that, they must get input from the community.
