ADVISORY PETITION TO THE VERMONT GENERAL ASSEMBLY
WE, THE UNDERSIGNED RESIDENTS OF VERMONT, AGREE THAT PROPERTY TAXES ARE UNFAIR, TOO HIGH AND TOO COMPLICATED. WE SUPPORT THE REVOLT & REPEAL CONCEPT OF REPEALING THE STATEWIDE PROPERTY TAX ON JULY 1, 2009.

Well guess what, with the price of gas going up, with then in turn effects food costs, the price of fuel to heat your house going up, the price of season pass and lift tickets going up. Who do you think can afford it? With the money I pay in property taxes I could go skiing out West at least two times this year. I live in New York and only pay about 2,200 a year in taxes. Killington want people to come up in spend but they are driving us away. It cost me about $200 round trip for gas for my car alone. I just to go up every week end, this year I have to think twice. What they don't understand is that those of us who have houses bring up guests. The fall in love with Killington and decide that they want their own house. That's what happened to me but a this rate they are going to lose people. They are cutting off their noses to spite their faces. I am disgusted personally and considering selling. |

If they can have a million man march in Washington and an Illegal Immigrant march/demontration, why can't there be at least 200,000 Vermonters march on Montpelier.
