On March 31 2015, the European Taekwondo Union suspended 7th dan holder, elite player/coach and Taekwondo entrepreneur Ji-Pyo Lim (Sweden) from all Taekwondo related activity for 3 full years. The reason for the suspension was a post Master Lim made in the Facebook group "Taekwondo Sweden" on the 8th of February stating that ETU had dealt with the Swedish Taekwondo Union with "self interest" and in manners similar to "Mafia style".
The suspension from all Taekwondo related activity within the region of ETU for three years is devastating to Master Lim since he is active in all aspects of the sport and earns his living from the schools he is now suspended from managing.
Why should you sign this petition?
If you, like us, feel that this punishment is outrageous and more suited for doping offenses or serious violations instead of plain criticism of the union, then you should sign this petition.
