This Petition is to MAKE Pet Insurance Companies approve the claims that are submitted that fall under the policy. I adopted 2 8 week old kittens on June, 1, 2013. They have seen other vets prior and were reported to be 100% healthy. The Dark grey Kitten (Monkey) was reported healthy except of a level 3/6 heart murmur that was going to be watched. The light grey kitten (Tiger) was reported to be 100% healthy. On June 18, 2013 I had to bring both kittens in because they were worse. They were diagnosed with both having Upper Respiratory Infections where they were put on antibiotics. On July 2, 2013, Monkey needed to have an xray done because he was breathing terribly. Less than a week later, Monkey started sneezing again. Trupanion sent back the claims stating that they were rejected because of pre-existing conditions? They also stated they will not cover the Kittens because they will be prone to get the colds again. It is not a pre-existing condition if both cats had a CAT COLD that they caught from another cat. In Total, I spent $1300 in vet bills and over $200 in premiums. Please sign this petition to change and revise these coverages. It is unfair that the Insurance Company promises you one thing in writing and then denies you.
