We ask Governor Bentley to revise the HB56 law. The new law will not target the "reasonably suspicious". Which is vague and left up to the officers own prejudices. Why should your body and the color of your skin be a factor in being asked for a certain document? Your body and skin color is yours to do with as you see fit and is never probable cause! The new law shall not mistreat an alien by denying them access to basic needs. -Water -Power -Shelter -Education The new law will be revised in an intelligent, non-discriminatory manner where anyone here illegally will not be discriminated against or denied basic services in the interim of the enforcement of the law. New tactics, such as: -Getting information from the IRS to locate and investigate suspects. -Using E-verify. -Using criminal records to target those that have committed crimes. -Giving amnesty to those with children that were born here.We will not separate families! All of these tactics would not be discriminatory and would be humane. We ask the governor and his staff that they put a halt in putting fear and panic in our community with the current HB56 law. Please revise the law! We believe that dogs will be treated better than illegals if this continues. This is inhumane and I'm not going to let the world continue to scrutinize Alabama for having such a poorly written law. Governor Bentley open up your law book and your bible and write a us a law that will make us proud! Not one that will bring shame and fear to both legal and illegal citizens of Alabama!
