Both young and old fans of the popular Activision video game series: Skylanders Spyro's Adventure & Skylanders Giants, have invested significant amounts of time and money into these games -- not just playing them, but also collecting the figures that interact with the portals, accessories, and the games themselves. We've gotten hours of enjoyment from each, with one major issue that begs to be addressed.

By design, the characters from series one (Skylanders Spyro's Adventure) are compatible with both games, older and newer. However, because the series two giants (Thumpback, Bouncer, Eye-Brawl, Swarm, Ninjini, etcetera) and the lightcore series two figures are not compatible with the original game known as Skylanders Spyro's Adventure, this leaves players wishing for some way to make these series two figures and giants compatible with the original game to extend the play capability with this particular game.

Because of the unaddressed incompatibility issue, and the desire of fans to make these newer series two figures and giants interact with the original Skylanders game, we are requesting that Activision release a new version of the original game - as a "special edition" of the Skylanders Spyro's Adventure that will be compatible with the newer figures released since Skylanders Giants hit stores.

In doing so, this gives Activision an opportunity to add new levels and features to such a "special edition", as well as release updated special versions of certain original figures - perhaps even releasing new lightcore versions of those figures, or even creating completely brand new characters to be made available only in this special edition, much like figures: Gnarly Tree Rex or Royal Double Trouble.

Many players/fans of both series one and two possess the desire to revisit Skylanders Spyro's Adventure and re-experience the original gaming excitement with their newer figures that a "special edition" would allow, bringing the first game to a brand new level of playing experience. If Activision were to follow through with honoring this request, it would bring the original game up to par with the same level of exciting adventures enjoyed in the newer series two game: Skylanders Giants.

Below is a summary of our requests:

➤ Re-release Skylanders Spyro's Adventure as a "special edition" version that is compatible with all newer series two figures & giants.

➤ Introduce new levels or items, designed to incorporate the newer figures into the original play experience.

➤ Include exclusive (lightcore or otherwise) versions of certain original Skylanders figures or create new exclusive figure(s) and package with the game as a set.

➤ Eventually release mobile version of above "special edition" game to play on tablets, as well as Wii U compatible version and PSVita compatible version -- preferably made available as e-download codes with accompanying retail starter packs, similar to Skylanders Battlegrounds, Skylanders Lost Islands, and Skylanders Cloud Patrol.

We, the undersigned fans of the Skylanders franchise, hereby petition with great interest and enthusiasm in anticipation of this potentially great re-release of classic Skylanders gaming.
