Coca-cola, Schweppes and Lion have a lawsuit against the Northern Territory government, to stop their 10c container deposit scheme.
Coca-Cola, Schweppes and Lion argued that the scheme breached Commonwealth law because it required different production processes for the same product in different states and territories.
This lawsuit has sparked a national boycott against these companies.
So what we are calling for is the development of a new nationally standardised reusable container scheme. This will reduce cost, waste, and damage to the environment, as well as increase profits in the long run.
So go on Coca-Cola, Schweppes and Lion, invest in reusable container technologies because that is what your customers want.
