Gamefreak has recently confirmed that Steel-type Pokemon will lose their resistances to Dark-type and Ghost-type attacks in the upcoming 6th generation of Pokemon, with Pokemon X and Pokemon Y being the first two games. This change weakens Steel Pokemon considerably and is not needed. It also specifically makes Steel/Psychic Pokemon, like Jirachi and Metagross, and the new Steel/Ghost Pokemon, Honedge and Doublade, much weaker defensively. It makes little sense to make this adjustment now, four generations after the Steel type was introduced. So, please join in and we can let Gamefreak know that this is not something that Pokemon fans want!
