The Peavey T-40 bass guitar was an incredible, versatile beast in both sound capabilities and weight. It had a special sound of its own and could emulate the sound of a Jazz bass, Rickenbacker, Stingray and somewhat a Precision bass also. Albeit heavy, it was a beautiful instrument. Even though one can purchase a used on on the internet for between $300 and $700 (for one of the rarer models), I'd like to petition Peavey to bring back one of the most beloved bass guitars of all time, (which happens to have a fervent cult following), in all its glory. American-made, affordable, classic + new finishes with the option of either toaster or blade humbucking pickups. If Peavey were to reintroduce the T-40's sibling, the T-20 which was a beginner's instrument that boasted its own innovations, that surely would be very welcome too.
