Keep Bouton the Parrot in the Montreal Biodome

2,435 Signatures Goal: 50,000

Bouton is beloved Scarlet Macaw at the Montreal Biodome. She was a very friendly and popular with tourists. Unfortunately, Quebec language authorities will deport her next Friday July 19 because she was speaking too much English during a routine language inspection. This is an injustice.

By signing this petition, you are demanding that the language police rescind the order to deport the parrot to Toronto Zoo and keep her in the Montreal Biodome.

A sad thing is that as an anglo Quebecer, I feel ashamed that we're all viewed as weird!

Just another dumb problem with bill 101 is that animals with only 1 language can't get a job in Quebec... So sad for tourists too!

This is so unkind to the bird and it makes Quebec look bad putting language before the welfare of a living being. This is twisted.

This is the epitome of the insane laws of Quebec only to reinforce the stereotypes that drive a wedge into this great country.
