Comments: I think that if as a crafter that the products that we use for out crafts SHOULD BE tested by the manufacture. It should not be put on us crafters! The items that we use in our crafts SHOULD BE SAFE!! Why are you trying to put this on us Too much junk being bought from else where and bringing into USA. It is not our fault that the stuff has lead or whatever in it. If it is bought overseas or in the USA have the manufacture test before it goes on the shelf. Gosh the way the ecomony is now and we are losing our jobs some of us use what we make for our bills. What do you want to do, put us all in the Poor House Better think this over before something really does happen to the crafting world. And I hope that someone you know is a crafter too and they are effected by this too. Think this over!!!!!!

Comments: We need to protect our children, but this law needs reform. My child suffered from lead poisoning, but even I feel this law needs to re-examined. Its so broad in its reach that it cannot possibly be enforced. Instead, we need to focus on a few key areas, and work to enforce the law.

Comments: The small business is being harmed by this, as are consumers. Truthfully, most small business purchase materials from reputable sources and many use pure and eco friendly materials. Please give us a chance to survive. If manufacturers of the products that we use were responsible, and labeled their products accordingly, we could then be sure to purchase materials that were safe! Education is the key!

Comments: Our government needs to be crafting legislation that protects citizens AND fosters small businesses and entrepreneurs. This legislation, like the safe food bill, is crafted explicitly to benefit large scale manufacturers and corporations. Change it, please.
