Name: Tracey Craddock on Feb 22, 2010Comments: Kulash plan is a more realistic approach to the Hwy 280 issues and he is the first person to acknowledge that the 280/459 "interchange" needs to be fixed. Riley should not get behind the Figg project - I doubt he has ever driven Hwy 280 and is listening only to developers who I believe are behind this Figg elevated highway.Flag

Name: Brad LaMonte on Feb 22, 2010Comments: It is time Alabama focuses on mass public transit in place of building more roads. We cannot sustain the ones we have and the way of the world continues to point toward mass transit over private vehicles. We must focus, for once, on what is best for ALL of us. It is NOT bigger and more draining highways.Flag

Name: Peyton Carmichael on Feb 22, 2010Comments: I live right on 280, across from WHole Foods in Abingdon. I can get anywhere I want to go in just a few minutes. There is no problem on 280 that needs a giant expensive elevated highway - and I am proof of it. That thing will ruin my neighborhood. It is huge rip-off. Someone must be making a lot of money off us tax-payers with this proposal. We should be able to say NO and NO again. I will do whatever it takes to defeat this thing. Peyton CarmichaelFlag

Name: Jackie Ponder on Feb 22, 2010Comments: As a homeowner in Chelsea, Alabama, I am highly opposed to the proposed Highway 280 plan. I hope that the State of Alabama will listen to the business owners and homeowners of this area and agree not to make this costly error in judgement, that is most likely based solely on the greed of an "elite" few, along with a tremendous lack of concern for the businesses and residents along the 280 corridor. Please consider alternative options that are available. Respectfully, Jackie PonderFlag
