ALDOT's $800 million U.S. 280 Expansion Project will bypass vital business districts in the western section and create a commercial wasteland in the eastern section where established businesses thrive today. It will devastate real estate values in the historic residential neighborhoods west of I-459 and will harm the residential neighborhoods to the east tomorrow as business and development shift beyond Eagle Point. Tax revenues, property values, air and water quality, transit options, quality of life -- all will be diminished if this massive project is allowed to go forward.

traffic is already bad enough but this wont help anything. just makes a huge eyesore for everyone driving through.
ALDOT really needs to stop looking at maps and start looking at the actual people living here. Nobody wants an elevated highway.
So tired of these projects that ignore the residents. My family has been here 20 years and we dont support this.
This is a massive waste of money. Spend the funds on public transit or fixing the potholes we already have instead of ruining the neighborhood
Ridiculous idea. It will just destroy property values and kill local businesses. Keep 280 how it is.
