Notice to DELDOT We, the undersigned, do hereby notify DELDOT of the hazardouis conditions associated with Dorman Road which runs from Route 24 to Connoly's Chapel Road in Lewes DE. 19958. Further we request repaving of the roadway at the earliest possible date. In 2010 we called on DELDOT regarding repaving of this roadway and were given a completion date of 2012. Recently we were told the date was pushed back until 2013 and now the "proposed date" has been pushed back yet again, to 2014. Three communities rely on this roadway for access to and from our homes (Wyndam, Lochwood and Hollyoak), additioanlly there are several single family homes situated along this route. With the increase in traffic, in general, many other users are accessing this road, adding to the increased risk associated with this poorly designed and maintained road. Snow and ice in the winter season, at times, make the road totally impassable and it is low on the list for salt / plowing. We realize funds are tight however given the number of local owners we contribute a good amount of taxes in this area and have noticed that other roads, which were in much better condition, have recently been repaved, such as Holly Mount and Stockley Rds.
