Gina Thames, MSN, RN is UTA's School of Nursing's most prolific, respected and admired instructors of both pharmacology and Intro to Nursing. This is evidenced by her numerous awards, recognition at both the state and national level, and the unceasing admiration of both current and former students who continue to seek her counsel and instruction. Today, Gina Thames was removed from lead instructor for Intro to Nursing by nursing administration to "balance the workload" of other faculty. The consequence of this decision may be two-fold. Students deserve her intellect and passion, and they deserve her commitment to their learning. We, the undersigned, comprised of both current and former students seek to have Gina Thames immediately restored as lead instructor for Introduction to Nursing. Her professionalism, intellect and aptitude are matched only by the well-deserved admiration of her students. Restore Gina as the lead instructor for Intro to Nursing!
