Coronation Street is the UK's most consistently watched continuing drama regularly attracting the highest TV viewing figures. Its cast members, writers and behind the scenes staff have - for almost 50 years - worked hard to bring this much loved programme to viewers. Until recently, viewers knew when their favourite TV programme was showing. However, ITV has been playing fast and loose with Corrie and moving both screening times and screening days to fit in with football and/or reality TV shows. This cavalier approach to the nations favourite TV programme sticks two fingers up to both loyal viewers and hard working Corrie staff - all of whom deserve a better deal. This petition calls on ITV to abandon, as quickly as practical, the current mismanagement of Corrie scheduling and show each of the five weekly episodes at a regular time of 7.30pm Monday to Friday. This petition will be sent to both the new CEO of ITV and Archie Norman ITV Chairman on the 1st of March 2010.

I have been an avid fan of Coronation Street for more years than I care to admit to. Although just an average viewer, I have reached the end of my tether with the way in which ITV have been treating this programme in the schedules. Please vote for a change. Thanks David Page Severn Beach. UK
